Camila Cabello, also known as Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao, is a successful Cuban-American actress, singer, and songwriter. Born on March 3, 1997, in Coj mar, Havana, Cuba, she gained fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony before establishing herself as a solo artist. Cabello grew up in East Havana with her father, Alejandro Cabello, who is Mexican, and her mother, Sinuhe Estrabao, who is a housewife. She has a younger sister named Sofia. When Cabello was six years old, she moved to Miami, Florida, with her mother. Her father joined the family around 18 months later. In 2008, Cabello gained American citizenship. She attended Miami Palmetto High School but left in the 2012-2013 school year to pursue her singing career. Cabello has a huge fan following on her Instagram account and has been dating Canadian singer Shawn Mendes since July 2019. She is a philanthropist and has partnered with Save the Children, donated $10,000 to GoFundMe campaigns, and participated in non-profit NGOs working for the welfare of female children and poverty-driven communities.
