Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis, is an American producer and actress who has been in the theater as well as television and film productions well, is present across both sides of the screen. Her stage debut was in the year 2000 and then appeared in mainstream, independent, and television series. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received critical acclaim but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she's appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. For her work on television she's been recognized for her role as a regular character on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
